At UKCBH, we don't just accept difference—we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our students, our staff, and our community.
The UK COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND HEALTH is committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity amongst our workforce and student body. Our aim is that our college will be truly representative of all sections of society and each individual feels respected and able to give their best. We oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.
We provide equal opportunities and will not tolerate discrimination based on the nine protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010:
All members of the UKCBH community have a responsibility to promote a culture of inclusion. This includes:
To treat fellow students and staff with dignity; to challenge or report discriminatory behavior when witnessed; and to participate in EDI training sessions.
To lead by example; to ensure classroom environments are safe and welcoming; and to undergo regular bias awareness and EDI professional development.
Acts of discrimination, harassment, or victimisation will be treated as serious disciplinary offences. Any individual who believes they have been subject to treatment that is in breach of this policy should follow the College Grievance Procedure or Student Complaints Policy.
All complaints will be handled with the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality. No student or staff member will be victimised for making a good-faith complaint regarding a breach of this policy.
