The UK COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND HEALTH (UKCBH) is committed to a fair and transparent refund process. This policy outlines the terms under which tuition fees may be refunded to students who withdraw from their programme, suspend their studies, or require a refund due to exceptional circumstances.
In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, all students have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period starting from the date they accept their offer of a place at UKCBH.
After the 14-day cooling-off period has expired, refunds are calculated based on the point in the academic year at which you formally withdraw. The following liability liability applies:
| Withdrawal Date | Tuition Fee Liability | Refund Eligibility |
|---|---|---|
| More than 30 days before Course Start Date | 0% Liability | Full Refund (minus £200 Admin Fee) |
| Less than 30 days before Course Start Date | 10% of Annual Fee | Refund of balance paid |
| Term 1 (Day 1 to End of Term 1) | 25% of Annual Fee | Refund of any excess paid above 25% |
| Term 2 (Start of Term 2 to Easter Break) | 50% of Annual Fee | Refund of any excess paid above 50% |
| Term 3 (Start of Term 3 onwards) | 100% of Annual Fee | No Refund |
International students requiring a Student Visa are subject to specific refund conditions regarding their CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) deposit.
A full refund of the deposit/fees will be granted if:
No refund will be granted if:
If your fees are paid via a Student Loan, UKCBH will notify the Student Loans Company (SLC) of your withdrawal. The loan liability will be adjusted automatically. You will not receive a cash refund personally; the funds will be returned directly to the SLC to reduce your debt.
Refunds are not automatic. To apply for a refund, please follow these steps:
Please note: Refunds can only be returned to the original source of payment (e.g., the original bank account or credit card) in compliance with UK Anti-Money Laundering regulations. Processing time is typically 14 working days.
The College understands that students may need to withdraw due to serious, unforeseen events (e.g., severe illness or bereavement). In such cases, the Finance Board may, at its discretion, waive standard withdrawal fees. Documentary evidence will be required.
